Paadmaan Video Event and BLUR workshop

Paadmaan projects Video program and workshop

October 6, 4 till 9 pm and October 7, 1-6 pm

This autumn, ROZENSTRAAT is hosting a screening programme by Paadmaan projects. PVE is an open-ended, alternative platform for video screenings with itinerant venues, cultural engagement and discourse of interdisciplinary forms in video, born in Tehran, based in Amsterdam, organized by Paadmaan projects. In the third edition, our curatorial perspective is focused on work that explores the phenomenon of dreams and dreaming, as well as anomalous and extraordinary forms of the imagination.

Part of the programme is the workshop BLUR, which focuses on experimental video editing and offers a practical exploration of video art. This three-hour hands-on session allows participants to creatively experiment with breaking down and reassembling found and original footage. The workshop covers techniques like layered cutting and rapid sequential editing. The works of artists such as Douglas Gordon, Dara Birnbaum, and Martin Arnold will inspire the exploration. Open to all skill levels, the workshop welcomes artists, creators, and students interested in experimental editing.

The workshop will take place at ROZENSTRAAT in Amsterdam on Monday October 7 at 10 till 13. You can register via this link. There is only a limited number of places available so don’t wait too long!

Fee: €10 / and €7 for students.
