Soon As From Earth I Go

The Publik Universal Frxnd will present their new musical performance Soon As From Earth I Go, made in collaboration with Janne Kosmos and Silva Westera (Pensive Vivifier).

The performance takes place in a special installation combining sculptures from 2021 with a new body of work. All the works are being shown in Amsterdam for the first time. The installation will be on view during gallery opening hours from the 24th – 31st July, with the performance taking place on the opening and closing dates.

Soon As From Earth I Go continues the Frxnd’s research into the relationship between body and machine and the impact of industrialisation and economic migration on our identity and cultural heritages. It is also a reflection on necropolitics and its ensuing feeling of loss, combining personal perspectives with the historical systems of imperialism and domination.

The Frxnd dedicates this work to the memory of their sister, Simone Victoria Moss aka Babes LaBeija from the legendary house of LaBeija, who passed away last year. 

May she rest in power.
