Meet & Greet met Omayra Alvarado, Instituto de Visión, Bogota
Op 20 juni is het mogelijk om Omayra Alvarado te ontmoeten op de tentoonstelling ‘Cardena Warming Up’. Alvarado is een van de directeuren van Instituto de Visión, uit Bogota, Colombia en zal een toelichting geven op het experimentele programma ‘Visionaries’, waarin het werk van Michel Cardena/ Miguel-Angel Cardénas is opgenomen. Vlak voor het overlijden van Cardena, in 2015, organiseerde de galerie een retrospectief van de in Colombia geboren nederlandse kunstenaar; dit ontketende het begin van een internationale herontdekking van zijn werk.
Het event is engelstalig.

Our program is focused on conceptual practices that propose micro-revolutions, original perspectives and personal ecosystems inserted into a specific context.
The poetics that inspire us originate in interchange, tropicality, decoding, cotidianity, archives and historic revision.
Through the program Visionarios, Instituto de Visión aims at revisiting the history of Colombian art to give a deserved position to artists who remained, despite their challenging and committed posture, alienated from the academic/official recount of our Art History.
